Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of QA engineers to achieve quality objectives and deliver high-quality software products.
    • Provide guidance, coaching, and feedback to team members to support their professional growth and development.
    • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the QA team, emphasizing collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
    • Set clear expectations, goals, and performance targets for team members and hold them accountable for results.
  2. Quality Assurance Processes:
    • Establish and maintain QA processes, standards, and best practices to ensure the quality and reliability of software products.
    • Develop and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases for functional, regression, performance, and usability testing.
    • Define quality metrics, benchmarks, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor product quality and team performance.
    • Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes and practices to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability.
  3. Test Automation:
    • Lead efforts to automate testing processes and tasks using industry-standard test automation tools and frameworks.
    • Develop and maintain automated test suites for regression testing, integration testing, and performance testing.
    • Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes.
  4. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate closely with software development teams, product managers, and project stakeholders to understand requirements, priorities, and release schedules.
    • Communicate QA status, test results, and quality metrics to stakeholders in a clear, concise, and timely manner.
    • Facilitate communication and coordination among cross-functional teams to address issues, resolve conflicts, and ensure alignment on quality goals and objectives.
  5. Quality Assurance Tools and Technologies:
    • Utilize a variety of QA tools and technologies to support testing activities, including test management tools, defect tracking systems, and performance testing tools.
    • Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in QA and test automation, and evaluate their potential impact on Softeko’s QA processes and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong technical background in QA methodologies, processes, and practices, including test planning, test case design, test execution, and defect management.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Cypress, or TestNG, for web application testing.
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in test automation, such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts and tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, and experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems, identify root causes of issues, and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
