Position Overview:
We are seeking a Mid / Junior Level QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing manual and automated test cases, identifying issues, and ensuring the quality of software products. This role will work closely with developers, product managers, and other team members to understand requirements, implement test strategies, and help ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning and Strategy:
• Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Assist in the creation of detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Participate in test planning activities and develop test strategies.
Testing and Test Execution:
• Perform manual testing on new and existing features of web and mobile applications.
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
Automation:
• Collaborate in the development of automation frameworks and scripts to reduce repetitive testing tasks.
• Execute automated tests and monitor results, assisting in the debugging of failed test cases.
Bug Tracking and Reporting:
• Track, manage, and prioritize defects using tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
• Work closely with the development team to resolve issues and verify bug fixes.
• Generate testing status reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement:
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
• Stay updated with the latest testing tools, trends, and practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Good academic results or highly skilled in English communication.
Experience:
- Junior Level: 0-2 years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Mid Level: 3 – 5 years of experience in software quality assurance.
Skills and Tools:
- Over Mid:3-5 / Jr: 1-2 years of hands-on experience in automation on any platform
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing for web and Mobile applications.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts for both digital products, SaaS and Mobile applications.
- Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JMeter) is a plus.
- Knowledge of bug tracking and test management software (e.g., Redmine).
- Experience in API testing using tools like Rest Assured and Postman
- Ability to participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential issues
- Capability to document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards
- Competence in planning test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
- Skill in testing system modifications to prepare for implementation
- Experience in monitoring bug resolution efforts and tracking successes
- Ability to provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality
- Expertise in updating automated test scripts to ensure workability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- B.Sc. in Computer Science (exceptional candidates without this qualification will be considered)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
